AFL Couching

Isn't AFL ( Australian Football League) an Australian game? I was intrigued when I heard there were Aussie Rules couching, coming in to teach us how to play. Next we would be taking up Canadian Ice hockey!

When we learnt a skill called the Drop Punt,we went strait into a game, trying to hit the innocent teachers Miss Garden and Mr Summerville."Oh no!" Miss Garden said as she thought she was going to get hit with the ball, sadly for all us kids she was wrong!!!! All of us were really bad, our aiming was pathetic.

Polar Bears

The polar bear has a thick coating of fur to keep it warm. It also has bumps on its paws to help them grip on to the ice. Polar Bear's have sharp claws so they can pick up their food.

Normally Polar bears are found alone, but cubs live with their mother for 2 and a half years. In that time the mother protects and teaches her cub how to hunt for food.

The Polar Bear's main food is the seal. Polar bears finds the it’s breathing hole and waits for the it to come up and take a breath, and then the Polar bears grabs the seal and throws it on the ice so it can eat it.

When a Polar Bear lives in the wild it can live for about 20 years. One polar bear managed to live for 41 years in a zoo.
