Making A Pie Graph

In room 21 for maths we did graphs. Mrs Lagitupu showed us a website called Create A Graph its a website when you well create a graph. We had a choice for what kind of graph style we would like to do I chose Pie because I love pies and I have never done a pie graph before. The title is Favourite animals Room 21. And as you can see the most common animal is the dog. Thank you for reading my post I hope you liked it.

Going To The Lantern Festival

On Saturday, we went to the lantern festival. I have never been there before. But it sounds fun. When we got there it was packed like cars in a traffic jam (well kind of). Also there was a wonderful aroma coming from one of the food stands. It was octopus cased in a ball of batter. We bought one each and guess what? They were delicious! (I wish I had some now).

After a little snack we had a look at the stands where there were toys and things like that. We even saw these cute little hats. Some of the hats were monkeys, frogs, rabbits and so much more. Then we went to where the actual lanterns are, they were beautiful. Some lanterns were up in the trees some were down on the ground. There was a variety of lanterns some were shaped as boats, flowers, animals and much much more.

After all our sight seeing we came across an activity where you get into a ball and well play in it. Me and my sister went in one each and we kept on trying to bump each other but instead we kept on falling over slamming our bodies on the bottom of the ball. That’s also how we make other people fall over, because the vibrations on the water shakes there ball. Sadly we had to stop after five minutes. When I walked out side I was really dizzy and  I thought I was going to fall over. But I didn't. My dad told us that we looked like little hamsters in a ball.

We were all ready to go home so we went away from the huge amount of people crowding around the food stands, and started to walk to a bus stop. On the way we looked in some of the shop windows to see all the clothes and shoes. After that we went home and drifted off to sleep hearing the fireworks coming from the festival.

I loved the festival it was really really cool. My Highlight was seeing all the lanterns and playing in the floating water ball. I also recommend you go there too.

Having A Sleepover For My Birthday

As I woke up and went into the kitchen, my sister jumped out from behind the corner of the bench and yelled out “happy birthday sis!” It was my eleventh birthday. I was going to have a sleepover with my friends.

Sadly only one replied back. But that was alright, I knew that most of them were on holiday. After we had breakfast, we went to pick up Ashleigh. Then we went back home and relaxed before going to watch Journey to Mysterious Island at the movies.

When we just about to leave we had an unexpected visitor. It was Shoal. We all welcomed her in and told her where to put her bags. Then we left straight away to the movies. The movie was hilarious we just kept on talking about it in the car all the way home. When we hopped out of the car we saw that my nana and papa had put up a tent for Ashleigh, Shoal and I to sleep in.

Us three girls entered the tent and started to make our beds. By then it was time for dinner. We had Spaghetti Bolognese. It was delicious. We watched t.v after that and by the time we all had our showers we went to bed.

The next day all of my friends had to go home but my mum said ”If you girls wanted to, you could ring up your parents and ask them if you can stay another night”. So they did and their parents said yes. So that day we went bowling. It was fun except Shoal isn’t really used to bowling and it was quite hard for her. By the way Ashleigh was the bomb at it.

That night we played Blinds Man Buff we kept on laughing tripping over and even falling on each other. After the game we sat down and took pictures of us. Then we went to sleep.

The next day we went to drop of Shoal at her nana’s house. Over all the sleepover was the best.

One Very Sunny Day In Whangarei..............

(This is my cousins, my sister and me dressing up)

One very sunny day in Whangarei we went looking for Scollaps in my cousins boat (but we ended up getting heaps of Pipps) So we went to Urquarts Bay and we went on a little sand bit in the middle of the sea. While my cousins and sister were looking for shellfish me and my uncle went snorkling and we saw lots of stingrays I was really scared that I couldn't let go of my uncles arm. After that all of us wanted to go back home we also had a kayak and we tied the kayak on a piece of string connected onto the boat also my counsin and I and her brother went on the kayak. Well My counsins brother was hanging on the end trying to make us steady. Then we were off. As we looked back to check on my cousins brother we could see that heaps of water have been splashing on to him. While we were nearly to the shore we capsized luckly we had life jackets the boat was turning around and on my counsins life jacket there was a whistle for if your in trouble. Except the whistle wasen't working (until her brother blew into it)! Also the boat didn't come to us so we had to swim back it was soo cold!
